Software Intruments and Experiments with Digital Noise Signals.

Digital Aeolian Noise Harp:

A white noise signal is passed through 23, 2 pole filters in parallel. The resonance and frequency of each filter modulates to produce a dense drone of complex shifting tones. In principle it functions like an Aeolian harp. I tried to replicate this effect with the metal resonators and experiments with rapid beating.

Screechies:

I made these in response to the steam machines to see if it was possible to digital produce a similar sound. A series of modules each with a white noise generator and 2 pole filter, randomly modulate. The out-put of the filter is connected back into its self to produce feedback which also modulates randomly.

Swarm Noise:

White Noise signals ring-modulated by random (un-rectified) pulse generators, the resultant sound is fed back into it self with diffusion, the amplitude controlled by another random pluse generator
